Organisms that prefer to live presence of carbon dioxide are capnophiles. They can live without oxygen and can withstand 5-10% of carbondioxide level and also upto 85% of nitrogen.

The way to grow capnophiles is to add oxidases in simple media: that enzyme will remove oxygen and convert it into water and carbondioxide.

Examples of capnophilic bacteria are ; Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae etc.
